of chewy, caramel colored crust.
Spackled of pulverized wheat,
& moistened, crispy from heat
Slashed,
Careful, surgery of its breath…
… exhaled?
BURST, POOF, rising fall
thick and light, perfect failure.
Too old, too new.
Patience patient
Next rise, not soon enough
